West Virginia is blessed with an abundance of lumber quality hardwood trees but turning the green wood into usable lumber without the use of a kiln is a very long process. I now offer small scale hardwood kiln drying with grant assistance from the West Virginia Department of Culture and History. This project is supported in part by an award for the National Endowment for the Arts. Most commercial kiln operators will only dry very large loads because of the cost and time involved. My kiln is a dehumidification unit capable of loads up to 800 board feet of 4/4 lumber and 1500 board feet of 8/4 lumber. I can also dry live edge, burls and crotch lumber. There is a 200 board foot minimum. Contact me for current price and schedule.
