This Weaver’s Bench has 3 different woods used in the construction. It has a cherry top with spalted maple legs. Accents are walnut. Outside dimensions are 30 1/2″ long x 13 1/2″ wide x 20 1/2″ high. Inside dimension is 22 1/2″ long x 8 1/4″ wide x 3 3/4″ deep. The bench can also be used as a piano bench.
When the runway at Yeager Airport in Kanawha County was extended many poplar trees were bulldozed over. I obtained one and built this Buckboard Bench. This is a good example of converting wood waste headed for the landfill into a viable product. Overall dimensions are 42” wide x 32” high x 20” deep.
A storm damaged tree removed from a golf course in Kanawha County provided the wood for this rocking chair. Quarter sawn sycamore is used for the frame of this custom designed rocking chair. The upholstered seat and gentle rocking motion makes a relaxed comfortable chair. Overall dimensions are 26” wide x 50” long x 52” tall. Sold!
